Three Months In; A Snapshot of the ortus Journey So Far

It’s been three months since we officially hit “go” on ortus-and let’s just say, it’s been anything but quiet.

We’ve spent the past 90 days out in the wild: building connections, pitching passionately, walking job sites, hosting events, and occasionally remembering to hydrate. The goal? To put ortus on the map - not just as a lighting company, but as a design-led partner that makes projects better, smoother, and a little more beautiful.

And the effort’s starting to pay off.

We’re proud to share that we’ve secured some exciting projects:
Sacra Spa with the team at Bulldozer Group, a space that promises to be as sleek as it is serene
Approved Automotive’s next showroom, bringing performance and precision to a new stage
– And finally, a confidential, high-profile project that we can’t talk about just yet - but trust us, it’s a big one, and we can’t wait to spill the details later this year

Behind the scenes, though, it's been a bit more DIY startup chic. Think: unexpected IT hiccups, endless logins and passwords (none of which we remember), and a steady stream of product samples arriving to our homes at all hours. One of us has even turned the space under the stairs into a makeshift stockroom - Harry Potter had a bedroom, we have a product archive.

But we haven’t let the chaos slow us down. We’ve carved out time for the good stuff - like ice cream socials, and the Contractors Cup: Summer Swing, where the industry’s finest swapped the boardroom for the virtual fairway in a (mostly) friendly round of golf.

So here’s to the first three months: full of grit, gratitude, a few IT-induced meltdowns, and a growing stash of dimmable downlights. We’re just getting started.
